Chief Executive Officer, Chicken Farmers of Ontario

   
Rob Dougans is Chief Executive Officer of Chicken Farmers of Ontario, the business enterprise that plans, regulates and manages the production and marketing of chicken in Ontario. CFO‘s mission is to deliver strategy-driven and entrepreneurial leadership that builds sustainable value for the chicken industry. Ontario is the largest producer, processor and consumer of chicken in Canada.

Rob has held senior leadership roles as President and CEO for over fifteen years in public and private companies focused on Canadian and North American markets, headquartered in both Toronto and Vancouver. Prior to joining CFO, he was President and CEO of Associated Brands LP, a leading North American private label food products company. During his successful food industry career, Rob has worked for some of the largest names in the packaged food industry including Kraft General Foods, Canada Bread and Dairyworld Foods in roles of increasing responsibility.

As Chairman of the Bakery of Council of Canada in the early 1990s, he led strategic planning, issue identification, advocacy and relationship activities for 1500 members.

Originally from Vancouver, Rob has an equal appreciation for both the West Coast and Toronto lifestyle. In his spare time, he enjoys fitness, travel and spending time with his family, both human and canine. Rob holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration at the University of British Columbia.
