Project Manager, SmartCentres

Having completed the Emerging Leadership Program at SmartCentres, one of Canada’s leading Real Estate Development firms, Salima now finds herself managing a retail portfolio that stretches from Chilliwack, BC to Dartmouth, NS.  Her previous experience ranges from structuring venture capital deals for Care Enterprise Partners, to producing some of Toronto’s most successful cultural arts festivals notably the Hot and Spicy Food Festival and Masala! Mehndi! Masti!  

Salima is engaged in her community having been involved with Daytripper’s Children’s Charity, the World Partnership Walk, the Toronto International Film Festival; the Board of Director’s of Satya Arts Association, and now finds herself an executive member of the Sauder Business Club of Toronto. She is an avid consumer of culture and Raptors basketball. She loves travel, loves challenges, and loves discovering the unknown. Salima especially loves music, yoga and photography that tells a story. 

Salima holds an MBA from the Rotman School of Management at U of T, as well as a BCom from the Sauder Business School at UBC, where she was elected Valedictorian of her graduating class.
